The Raats Family Wines specialise in Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc. Their 2023 Raats Dolomite Cabernet Franc 2023 is hugely expressive, and in a blind tasting I would mistake it for a top Loire Cabernet Franc.  Lovely, perfumed nose, delicious crunchy pure ripe raspberry and redcurrant fruit, savoury wild herbs and hints of wet stones (what we used to call minerality). At an RRP of £17.50, a terrific mid-weight red which shows purity and terroir.
