Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs 2017

Nyetimber continues to impress, and their 2017 Blanc de Blancs is yet more proof that this is a House on a mission. The wine has spent over 80 months lees ageing, and the vines are grown on greensand and chalk of England’s South Downs. This is Chardonnay at its most refined, it reminds me of Comtes de Champagne in style, restrained, but with layers unfolding of white peach, citric fruits, a beautiful refreshing acidity driving through, great depth, highly complex and a long finish.
