Antinori Guado al Tasso Vermentino 2024

I drank this in Florence at Antinori’s magical restaurant, Cantinetta Antinori, conveniently situated in Piazza degli Anitinori, at the end of the Connoisseur Week. We wanted a plate of pasta and a glass of white wine, nothing too complicated.  The 2024 Vermentino stopped us in our tracks, as it hit all the right notes, bright, zesty, good core of lively white fruit, waves of oyster shells and lemon. A perfect aperitif or accompaniment to a a plate of fish or pasta. How good? I ordered a case as soon as the plane hit the tarmac back here.
