▻ 2022 Review
The Wines of the Year and Best Conversations of 2022
Episode Summary:-
As we close out the year, John Stimpfig and Sarah Kemp look back at some of their favourite Wine Conversation podcasts of 2022, from the tale of Greta Garbo dining at Lafite with the Workers Cooperative of Sunderland to Alice Feiring’s interview, when she described fleeing a serial killer (an experience she matched with a wine in her book). They also name their personal red and white “house” wines of the year, the wines which they always buy and believe offer terrific value for money. Wine is all about exploration, and both Sarah and John have found many exciting new discoveries; they name the ones that made the greatest impression: Sarah’s recommendations come from her trip to Argentina, while John chooses wines from New York’s Finger Lakes, the Douro and South Africa. Finally, they both name their top five wines of the year, the wines which were simply the greatest they drank in 2022. For a full list of all the Wines of the Year, see below; for more details, listen in. Salud!
