Hugely impressed with this vintage of Quintessa, which brims with vitality and dances across your palate. It has glorious ripe classic Napa fruit, with bright wild cherries and plums intermingled with cigar-box and dark chocolate. What impresses most is the extraordinary energy that the wine possesses, a thrilling raciness. It’s well-structured; the tannins are refined and hold everything in place. Delicious to drink, now but will go the distance. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmènere.
