▴ G.D. Vajra Barolo “Albe” 2018

I am a big fan of Vajra’s wines, and their 2018 Albe Barolo reminds me why. Textbook Piedmont terroir, glorious concentration of mountainside fruit, complex layers of generous red and black fruit powering out in circles in harmonious waves, a bite of slate to balance the juicy sweetness, silky tannins holding everything together, fresh, precise and deliciously long. 14.5%
