Bordeaux – A transformed city worth exploring

Jane Anson, who arrived to live in Bordeaux in 2003, talks about why she recommends staying in the city, something she would not have recommended years ago. Her perfect wine lovers' itinerary starts in Place de la Bourse, where the 1855 classification was signed, plus a visit to Cité du Vin, Bordeaux's new wine museum.

Heading out to the Vineyards

"Probably my top choice would be Carmes Haut-Brion"

A short tram ride from Bordeaux city centre lies the Pessac-Léognan region. Jane recommends heading out to the vineyards to visit one of two of the region's châteaux, Ch Les Carmes Haut-Brion and Ch Pape Clement before returning to Bordeaux and finding a wine bar.
